Privacy policy

This policy explains what information FiilFree ("we") collects when you use fiilfree.in, fiilfree.com and the FiilFree ETracker, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We wrote it in plain language. If anything is unclear, email us at fiilfree897@gmail.com.
The short version
- Your ETracker data is linked to your account and is not visible to other users.
- We do not sell your data, show ads, or share your data for marketing.
- We never ask for bank passwords, card numbers, OTPs or UPI PINs, and we do not read your SMS.
- You can download or permanently delete your data at any time from the ETracker.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile picture as provided by Google.
- ETracker data you enter: accounts, balances, expenses, money received, loans, cards, investments, goals, budgets, notes, and names of people you split bills with or lend to. Only enter what you are comfortable storing.
- Settings and consent: your language choice, and the date you confirmed you are 18 or older and accepted these terms.
- Basic technical information: our hosting and sign-in providers may record standard logs such as IP address, browser type and time of access, to keep the service secure and working.
The main website (without signing in) does not require you to share any personal information.
How we use it
- To sign you in and show you your own ETracker on any device.
- To calculate the totals, reminders and insights shown in the ETracker.
- To keep the service secure, fix problems you report, and comply with the law.
ETracker insights are automatic calculations based on general rules of thumb. They are not personalised investment advice.
Voice entry
If you use the microphone, speech is converted to text by your browser or phone's built-in speech service (for example, Google in Chrome). That provider processes the audio under its own privacy policy. The ETracker only receives the resulting text, and you review every entry before it is saved.
Where your data is stored
ETracker data is stored using Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), with the database located in Mumbai, India. Sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication. The website is hosted by Netlify. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms. A copy of your ETracker is also kept in your browser so it opens quickly; signing out removes it from that device.
Who can see your data
Security rules allow only your signed-in account to read or change your ETracker. Members of the FiilFree team with administrator access to our systems could technically access stored data; we do not look at it except when you ask us to help with a problem, or when required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep your ETracker data while your account exists. When you choose "Delete account and data" in the ETracker, your ETracker data is deleted from our database immediately and your sign-in account is removed. Residual copies in provider backups are removed according to those providers' schedules.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, and raise a grievance. You can download and delete your data yourself in the ETracker, or email us and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Children
The ETracker is only for people aged 18 or older. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we make significant changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, let signed-in users know in the ETracker.
